In 2014, PMC was contracted to update Elk Grove’s bicycle, pedestrian, and trails master plan. The purpose of the project was to consolidate the existing Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan, and Trails Master Plan documents, ensure the plans met minimum qualifications for funding purposes, update existing and proposed facilities and improvements to reflect current conditions, and incorporate criteria to prioritize improvements for the Capital Improvements Plan. The plan provides a policy framework and detailed implementation plan for the development of Elk Grove’s non-motorized transportation network. Throughout the planning process we met with city staff and collaborated with a working group comprised of local trail advocates.
